Fees and Concessions

Nuance Counselling aims to provide an outstanding and personalised service at a competitive cost.  Consequently, we review our fees regularly to ensure that they are favourable compared to other service providers.  If, at any stage, it is considered necessary to increase fees, clients will be given advanced notice of any changes.

Please note that therapists working at Small Thatched Cottage each have their own private practice and fees may, therefore, vary.  The fees outlined below relate to sessions booked with Dr Paul Fairchild.  Please approach other therapists direct to enquire about the fees they charge.

Individual Counselling

Counselling sessions, whether face-to-face or online, last 60 minutes and are charged at £55 per session.  Initial assessment sessions to enable new clients to investigate whether they wish to begin regular counselling are offered at a 50% reduction.

Concessions

A limited number of concessionary appointments is available during the daytime for those who are retired, unemployed or on Universal Credit and for university students.  Those eligible will be offered a 20% reduction in fees.

Trainees

Nuance Counselling recognises the high costs associated with training for those aspiring to become counsellors or psychotherapists.  Personal therapy sessions are, therefore, offered to trainees at a 20% discount.

Payment Options

We regret that we are unable to accept cash payments but are able to take cheques.  However, our preferred method of payment is either by bank transfer or by debit or credit card at the end of each session. Bank details for transfers are provided on all invoices issued.
